The LBAC office is shared by its sister organisation, the Globe Community Project. (charity no. 1104770) The Globe Community Project is a community-based charity, aiming to provide classes, workshops and activities that enable local people to develop a variety of actual and transferable skills including social skills, confidence, health, well being and increased enjoyment of life. |
Many of our activities are arts and/or health based, and the GCP also actively seeks to include all sectors of the local communities, involving people of different ethnic backgrounds and of different ages. It has run classes in drama and role play and sessions on relaxation techniques, painting and print-making for women, and an exercise class including the martial art of Aikido for young people. This year, it is providing an inter-faith course for Muslim and Christian women, involving life-story telling and role play. |
The Globe Community Project has also been providing a highly valued weekly advice day since 2004, with the help of the Citizen's Advice Bureau. |
